Summary[]
The task was presented on an oil barrel with a can of baked beans. The contestants had to work out the circumference of the caravan in baked beans. The bean circumference of the caravan was 965 baked beans.
Performance[]
James Acaster: James worked out the length of 4 beans with his fingers, then measured the caravan with his fingers, coming up with an answer of 700 baked beans. He received 4 points.
Jessica Knappett: Jessica counted as she moved a bean around two sides of the caravan, eventually writing on the window in bean juice to calculate an answer of 689 baked beans. She received 3 points.
Kerry Godliman: Kerry worked out 15 beans fit between her thumb and her pinky, then measured the caravan with her fingers, calculating with mental maths an answer of 750 baked beans. She received 5 points.
Phil Wang: Phil spilt a can of beans around the caravan, claiming the caravan's circumference would be 4 cans of beans or 400 baked beans. He received 1 point.
Rhod Gilbert: Rhod used a tape measure to measure the circumference of the caravan and the length of one baked bean, using a calculator to work out that the circumference of the caravan would be 1,275 baked beans. However, his answer was very out because he didn't take a mean bean measurement. He received 2 points.
