Taskmaster Wiki

Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck Duck, Duck, Goose was a task featured on Season 2 of Taskmaster Australia, as the third task in Everyone here is a nerd. The task was won by Lloyd Langford.

Summary[]

The task was presented on a plinth in the garden with a gavel, and a circle of plastic ducks. The contestants had to successfully accuse one duck (#8) of secretly being a goose, by asking each duck one yes or no question. The odd-numbered ducks had blue blue bowties and only lied, and the even-numbered ducks had red bowties and only told the truth. There was also a pocket dictionary, explaining that one quack meant yes and two meant no.

Performance[]

Anne Edmonds: Anne started by asking duck #8 if it was the goose, but assumed it was lying when it quacked “yes,” and became extremely confused about the whole task. After 5 questions, she wrongly accused duck #10, receiving 0 points.

Jenny Tian: Jenny drew probability matrixes in the notebook for 42 minutes before asking her first question. She then only asked questions about which duck was the goose, and misidentified the lying team, guessing that the goose’s teammates were lying to protect it. After 1 hour, 26 minutes and 49 seconds, she wrongly accused duck #10, receiving 0 points.

Josh Thomas: Josh failed to spot the contents of the pocket dictionary, and kept forgetting what he'd asked the ducks and their answers, yet still ended up accusing the correct duck. He accused duck #8 after using up all 10 questions, receiving 3 points.

Lloyd Langford: Lloyd started by asking a duck what his own name was to determine which team told the truth, then asked questions that would eliminate multiple ducks. He accused duck #8 after 4 questions, receiving 5 points.

Wil Anderson: Wil started by asking a blue duck if it was blue to determine which team told the truth. He accused duck #8 after 8 questions, receiving 4 points.
