The following is a list of Taskmasters from the many variants of Taskmaster, as well as information on the role.
Role[]
The Taskmaster is the titular role and judge of all attempts for every task. They score the contestants' efforts, primarily subjectively-judged tasks, from best to worst, and decide whether anyone should be disqualified. Within the canon of the show, the Taskmaster also orders the contestants to do the tasks in the first place and writes the tasks, though in reality the tasks are devised by others (In the UK version, this is done by Alex Horne and Tim Key). The Taskmaster's word is final and any attempts to argue with them usually result in penalisation.

Across the different versions, the following people have played the role of Taskmaster:
Alex Horne[]
Series creator Alex Horne was the original Taskmaster, for his 2010 Edinburgh Festival Fringe show The Taskmaster and its sequal Taskmaster II. For the TV show adaption he became the Taskmaster's Assistant.
Anabel Alonso[]
Anabel Alonso was the Taskmaster for Spain's Dicho y hecho.
Atle Antonsen[]
Atle Antonsen was the Taskmaster for Norway's Kongen Befaler between 2019 and 2022. He returned for Season 8 in 2023.
Atze Schröder[]
Atze Schröder was the Taskmaster for Germany's unaired Taskmaster.
Babben Larsson[]
Babben Larsson is the Taskmaster for Sweden's Bäst i Test.
Bård Ylvisåker[]
Formerly a contestant, Bård Ylvisåker became the Taskmaster for Norway's Kongen Befaler Season 7 in 2023 after Atle Antonsen stepped down. Atle would end up returning to the show in Season 8.
Gert Verhulst[]
Gert Verhulst was the Taskmaster for Belgium's Het Grootste Licht.
Greg Davies[]
Greg Davies is the Taskmaster for the original UK series Taskmaster. He was also the Taskmaster for Edinburgh Does... Taskmaster.
He is noted for his school teacherly demeanor and attitude, and although he was initially quite harsh to the contestants across the series he seems to mellow out, something that has been jokingly referred to within the show. His relationship with his assistant Alex Horne is also another defining characteristic, their stilted, awkward banter evolving into something more of a bromance, although Davies insists that it's more of a father-son relationship.

Jaakko Saariluoma is the Taskmaster for Finland's Suurmestari.
Jeremy Wells[]
Jeremy Wells is the Taskmaster for New Zealand's Taskmaster NZ.
Lasse Rimmer[]
Lasse Rimmer is the Taskmaster for Denmark's Stormester.
Louis Morissette[]
Louis Morissette is the Taskmaster for Canada (Quebec)'s Le maître du jeu.
Reggie Watts[]
Reggie Watts was the Taskmaster for America's Taskmaster US.
Rose Matafeo[]
Rose Matafeo, having previously been a contestant on Series 9, is the Taskmaster for the UK's Junior Taskmaster.
Sue Perkins[]
Sue Perkins, having previously been a contestant on Series 16, was the Taskmaster for the UK's pilot episode of Foodmaster.
Tom Gleeson[]
Tom Gleeson is the Taskmaster for Australia's Taskmaster AU.
Vasco Palmeirim[]
