Say a word beginning with Q was a task featured on Series 18 of Taskmaster, as the second task in The faceless facilitators. The task was won by Jack Dee.

Summary[]
The task was presented on the table. The contestants had to read the task in their heads and perform the instructions presented. The letters they were asked to select spell out the word "SEAL". Scattered around the room were many toy animal seals, however the secret task was actually alluded to the wax seal on the task itself. Any time the contestants said a word beginning with Q after they looked at the initial camera was counted.
Performance[]
Andy Zaltzman: Andy keep quiet throughout the entire attempt and said "query" after 7 minutes and 54 seconds. He received 3 points.
Babátúndé Aléshé: Baba tried to look for clues on the toy seals before finding the wax seal and said "quiet" after 17 minutes and 59 seconds. He received 1 point.
Emma Sidi: Emma kept quiet throughout the entire attempt, guessed and found the task concealed under the wax seal and said "quick" after 3 minutes and 58 seconds. She received 4 points.
Jack Dee: Jack struggled to pinpoint the letters and became agitated. After spelling "SEAL", he looked around the room for a toy seal before eventually finding the rest of the task on the wax seal. However, he tore and then burned the task when he attempting to melt the seal, making him unable to read the other part of the task.
After Alex freshly created a copy of the task and removed the seal carefully from it, he eventually said "quick" after 30 minutes and 41 seconds. However, whilst trying to spell "SEAL" after 3 minutes and 32 seconds into the task, he inadvertently said it was "quite" boring, so he received 5 points.
Rosie Jones: Rosie could not stop laughing at first, so she struggled with the first step. She eventually moved on and said "quiet". She received 2 points.
Trivia[]
- Some of the rules of the task were never read out in the episode, but are visible on the paper in some shots. These rules were ultimately ignored, including the stipulation that contestants must remain silent until the instructions are completed, which some contestants broke.
- The initials of the first words in the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th lines in the task also spell out the word 'seal'.
