Romesh Ranganathan is a British comedian and actor. He was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2013 Edinburgh Comedy Awards is known for his numerous appearances on comedy panel shows and is the host of BBC Two show The Ranganation.
In 2015, Ranganathan appeared on Series 1 of Taskmaster, finishing in joint second place with 93 points. He was the guest on episode 18 of Taskmaster The Podcast.

- Romesh (along with Josh Widdicombe and Roisin Conaty) was part of the team to win the very first team task.
- Romesh was the first contestant to ever win a recorded task.
- Romesh is one of 8 contestants to never win a single episode.
- As he came second, Romesh is the only contestant to place higher than fourth to never win a single episode.
- He is also one of 2 people to never win an episode despite getting the joint highest score in an episode because they lost the tiebreak task, the other being Aisling Bea.
- Romesh is one of only 7 contestants to never win a live task.
- Despite this, he scored the most points in his series for live tasks, with 18 points.
- Despite coming joint second, Romesh won the least amount of tasks in his series joint with Frank Skinner (excluding tiebreakers), with only 5 tasks won.
- Coincidentally, the two ended up tying for second place.
- Romesh is one of the few contestants to make a cameo in the show after they appeared. He appeared in the Series 8 episode Stay humble., as part of Joe Thomas and Sian Gibson's attempt at the task "Have a long-distance game of catch with this beach ball", where he posed with Sian, pretending to be in different countries.
