Pop a balloon when you hear its colour was a studio task featured on Series 19 of Taskmaster, as the fifth task in Maybe we're the monsters. The task was won by Stevie Martin by default.

Summary[]
The contestants had to pop the balloons of the same colour when the colour in Greg's story is announced. The word could be a homophone of the colour (ex. Isle of Wight = White).
Story[]

It was the morning of the 46th birthday party of little Alex Horne. No one was excited but it was a beautiful day. The sky was clear, the sun was bright, and the grass was looking even more neatly mowed than usual. As is tradition, the party was held at his local Chesham bowling green.
To start the party, Alex read all of his birthday cards. One of his birthday cards was from the mayor and had all of his favorite fruits on. Apples, a bunch of bananas, and his favorite of the citrus family, a lovely round grapefruit.
Alex heard his phone ring. "Yeah?", he answered. It was his uncle, calling to ask if Alex had opened his inexpensive gift. The signal wasn't great, so Alex had to yell, "Oh, yes. I did. Thank you!"
Performance[]
Fatiha El-Ghorri: Due to her globophobia, Fatiha had the ear defenders on and failed to listen to Greg's story properly. Because she missed popping the green balloon, she received 2 points.
Jason Mantzoukas: Jason accidently popped the yellow balloon when he tried to pop the green one. He received 2 points.
Mathew Baynton: Feeling sorry for Stevie for failing to pop her yellow balloon, Mathew yielded the task for her by purposely popping all of his balloons, so he received 4 points by default.
Rosie Ramsey: Rosie failed to respond to pop the red balloon. She received 3 points.
Stevie Martin: Stevie was flustered and heartbroken because the words "Yell" and "Oh" combined was allowed as a homophone and failed to respond to pop the yellow balloon. But because Mathew purposely popped all of his balloons, she earned her 5 points by default.
