Most meaningful item was a prize task featured on Series 1 of Taskmaster, as the first task in The poet and the egg. The task was won by Romesh Ranganathan.
Summary[]
The contestants had to bring in a prize that best fit the task category of the most meaningful item. The winner of the episode would be able to take home all of the prizes.
Performance[]
Frank Skinner: Frank brought in a child's hobby horse that he wanted as a child, as his family couldn't afford one, which he bought for his son. However, Greg points out that he took the hobby horse off him to bet as a prize. Frank responded, "you've got to speculate to accumulate, this time tomorrow he might be riding around the garden on a piston." He received 4 points.
Josh Widdicombe: Josh brought in his father's self-published book: I Blame The Beatles by Tom Widdicombe, a string of angry letters that his father wrote to the local newspaper, which was the only copy Josh owned, which has a personalised cover. He received 2 points, despite Josh asserting that he no longer speaks to his father, to which Greg suggests that it's his father who never speaks to him.
Roisin Conaty: Roisin brought in a dictionary. She received 1 point.
Romesh Ranganathan: Romesh brought in his wedding ring, without his wife's knowledge. He received 5 points, because Greg couldn't deny 5 points to someone actively trying to wreck his own marriage on TV.
Tim Key: Tim brought in a piston, a stage prop, which was the only souvenir he had from his Edinburgh Fringe show that won him the Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2009. He received 3 points, "because it's a piston".
