Summary[]
The task was presented in a bowl of Allen keys. The contestants had to make themselves into a stylish and functional piece of furniture for Tom C to use.
Performance[]
Aaron Chen: Aaron wore a ladder with a cardboard door to become a fridge. He served Tom water before hugging him, causing the door to fall off. Aaron received 1 point.
Concetta Caristo: Concetta got on her hands and knees, then draped a tablecloth over herself to become a table. Tom ate spaghetti off her back while she sang, but her giggling led to the wine and candles falling over. Concetta received 4 points.
Mel Buttle: Mel turned herself into a skateboard riding lamp. Tom "turned her on" by announcing that he had brought home 2 butter chickens, then turned her off by saying that he wore transition lenses. Mel received 3 points.
Peter Helliar: Pete put a lampshade on his head and pointed Tom to the instructions on the table. Tom played a dainty tune on the recorder, prompting Pete to shine his phone's flashlight through the lampshade. Pete received 2 points.
Rhys Nicholson: Rhys turned themself into a sunglasses-wearing bed. They soothed Tom to bed with a lullaby, before loudly yelling at him to wake up. Rhys received 5 points.
Trivia[]
- When discussing how "turned on" Mel was by 2 butter chickens, she said that 3 would turn it into a "mop and bucket situation", the episode name.
- During this task, Tom C tells the story of his childhood business card collection, where he became dejected and threw all of them, (except the A-tier cards) in the bin. His A-tier collection would later be used in a tiebreak task.
