Make the water level rise to the top of the big fish tank was a task featured on Series 13 of Taskmaster, as the fourth task in Having a little chuckle. The task was won by Ardal O'Hanlon.
Setup[]
Location | Taskmaster House |
---|---|
Equipment | Big fish tank |
Timing | 15 minutes |
Measurement | Closest water level to the top of the big fish tank |
Summary[]
The task was presented on the table in front of the big fish tank. The contestants had to collect 6 items and put them into the big fish tank to make the water level rise to the top of the tank. If any water came out of the big fish tank or the contestants took any tanks out of the room, they would be disqualified. Next to the fish tank was a statue of Archimedes, an Ancient Greek mathematician who studied water displacement extensively, with the bottom revealing a map to a secret compartment in the wall, containing six bricks that would make the water level rise to the top of the tank.
Performance[]
Ardal O'Hanlon: Ardal put into the tank: a brick, a croquet mallet, a small statue, two satsumas and a quantity of water. As his water level was the closest to the top of the big fish tank, he received 5 points.
Bridget Christie: Bridget mocked the task for saying not to take the tanks out of the room, then took the small tank out the room. She was disqualified from the task.
Chris Ramsey: Chris put into the tank: the small tank, two shoes, and three playing cards. However, as he lowered the small tank, a bit of water came out of the big tank, so he was disqualified from the task.
Judi Love: Judi used the small tank to test her items, pouring a small amount of water into the tank. She put into the tank: a bunch of bananas, a pot of coffee, and four bottles. Her water level was only 1.8cm from the top of the tank, so she received 4 points.
Sophie Duker: Sophie immediately took the small tank out of the room to use it as a test tank. She was disqualified from the task.
