Summary[]

The task was presented under a pyramid of tennis balls. The contestants had to make the loudest noise using a tennis racquet exactly 10 minutes after they read the task.

Performance[]

Aaron Chen: Aaron went to the kitchen, put sweets inside blenders and mixing bowls, then used the racquet to turn the equipment on. He produced a sound of 102dB. Aaron received 5 points.

Concetta Caristo: Concetta stuffed tennis balls down her top, then went downstairs and repeatedly slammed the racquet against the locker doors. She produced a sound of 91dB. Concetta received 4 points.

Mel Buttle: Mel smashed the racquet against the lab table until the racquet broke while doing an unflattering impression of Tom C. Tom G later ruled that her voice didn't count towards her noise since she wasn't making it with the racquet. Mel produced a sound of 83dB. Mel received 2 points.

Peter Helliar: Pete misread the task and served tennis balls against a drum before his 10 minutes was up. When Tom blew his whistle, Pete was giving his tea order to an assistant which was 32dB loud. Pete received 1 point.

Rhys Nicholson: Rhys played a recording of Tom G accepting his Gold Logie while banging the racquet on colanders. Tom G ruled that his acceptance speech wouldn't be counted since it wasn't being made with the racquet. Rhys produced a sound of 86dB. Rhys received 3 points.
