Taskmaster Wiki

Make a surprising appearance was a task featured on Season 2 of Taskmaster Australia, as the fifth task in Killed by a nerd. The task was won by Wil Anderson.

Summary[]

The task was presented in a locker, held by a mannequin. The contestants had to make the most surpising appearance.

Performance[]

Anne Edmonds: Anne peeked around the corner of the set of The Project during an episode. She received 4 points.

Jenny Tian: Jenny hid in the other contestants’ dressing rooms at the studio and put on their task outfits, then surprised them when they entered. She received 3 points.

Josh Thomas: Josh hid in an adjacent locker when Anne received the task, then came out when she asked to redo the shot, as he'd cut his finger holding the door shut. He received 1 point.

Lloyd Langford: Lloyd surprised Tom Gleeson as he left the Adelaide Fringe, by hiding in a box backstage in a blue wig and no shirt (Tommy Little's idea), then popping up and blowing an air horn in Tom's face. He received 2 points.

Wil Anderson: Wil created a montage of the others’ appearances, with him edited into the background, except on Jenny’s, where he just replayed the clip of her surprising him. He received 5 points.

Trivia[]

Behind the Scenes[]

  • Tom claimed to have feared for his life during Lloyd’s attempt, imagining that he was about to be attacked by a Taskmaster fan and “Killed by a nerd,” the episode’s name.
