Summary[]
The task is presented on the doormat next to a potato. The contestants had to get the potato into the golf hole without touching the red green.
Performance[]
Doc Brown: Doc tried several times to throw the potato into the hole, creating a large stick (by taping together a crutch, a walking stick, a broom and a funnel) to get the potato back. He got the potato in the hole in 6 minute 59 seconds, receiving 2 points.
Joe Wilkinson: Joe managed to throw the potato into the golf hole in 14.3 seconds. However, the toe of his shoe touched the red green. Joe begged Greg not to disqualify him, saying it was the best thing he had ever done and that his wedding certificate was on the line. He crawled on the floor towards Greg and shook his knee. Greg let Joe's fellow contestants vote on whether Joe should have been disqualified while he was out of the room, with Doc and Jon voting for Joe's disqualification and Katherine and Richard voting against. As there was no majority vote, Greg ruled that Joe would be disqualified from the task.
Jon Richardson: Jon tried several times to throw the potato into the hole, using a croquet mallet to get the potato back. He got the potato in the hole in 1 minute 9 seconds, receiving 5 points.
Katherine Ryan: Katherine kept throwing the potato and retrieving it by throwing her wellies, a type of boots, at the potato and sweeping the red green away with a broom, eventually tying string to it so she could retrieve it easily. She got the potato in the hole in 6 minutes 28 seconds, receiving 3 points.
Richard Osman: Richard put a red sled and a green tarp onto the red green so he could get to the golf hole. He got the potato in the hole in 2 minutes 13 seconds, receiving 4 points.
