Summary[]
The task is presented on a table next to coloured paper, colouring pens, an egg and scissors. The contestants were tasked with getting the egg as high as possible without breaking the egg. The egg did not have to stay at the height that was measured.
Performance[]
Frank Skinner: Frank wrapped the egg in paper before throwing it into the air and trying to catch it. He threw it 8m high, but unfortunately, it broke on landing after he failed to catch it due to him falling over. He received 0 points.
Josh Widdicombe: Josh built a crash mat of paper then threw the egg 6.8 metres into the air. Although it didn't land on its crash mat, it did land on the grass so did not crack. He received 5 points.
Roisin Conaty: Roisin immediately tried to throw the egg into the air, but failed to catch it and it broke. She received 0 points.
Romesh Ranganathan: Romesh put the egg on a ream of paper with the colouring pens and the task on top, at a height of 1.11 metres. He received 4 points.
Tim Key: Tim made an origami goose whilst coming up with ideas. Tim then boiled the egg and made a large pole made of paper to carry the egg. It unfortunately collapsed and the egg broke on the ground because the egg wasn't boiled for long enough. He received 0 points.
