Summary[]
The task was presented on a picnic bench. The contestants had to find the pink lady apples located under bowls on picnic tables. Under two bowls were satsumas and under one was a green egg. Around the area, a grid layout of the locations of the apples, egg and satsumas were represented by their colour. The location of the grids included on a poster of a train, on a drain and on Alex's back. Written on the middle bowl was a message saying: "Look at the cow". The cow had a message on it saying: "Look at the back of the clipboard". The back of the clipboard had a message on it saying: "Look on the other side of the cow". The other side of the cow had a message written on it saying: "There are 5 pink ladies".
Performance[]
Iain Stirling: Iain initially looked through the holes in the picnic benches to see what was under the bowls. Despite finding the message saying that there were 5 pink ladies and finding 5 pink ladies, Iain showboated and ended up finding the green egg, disqualifying him from the task.
Joe Thomas: Joe initially looked through the holes in the picnic benches to see what was under the bowls. After finding 5 pink ladies, Joe found the grid showing the locations of the pink ladies. He received 5 points.
Lou Sanders: Lou initially looked through the holes in the picnic benches to see what was under the bowls. She then found the message on the cow saying that there were 5 pink ladies and the grid pattern revealing their locations, but ran out of time. She managed to find 4 pink ladies, receiving 4 points.
Paul Sinha: Paul spent his time working out the odds of finding a pink lady. He managed to find 2 pink ladies, receiving 3 points.
Sian Gibson: Sian randomly guessed which bowls had pink ladies under them. Although she found 5 pink ladies, she found the green egg, realising as soon as she touched the bowl, disqualifying her from the task.
