Taskmaster Wiki

Find Tom was a task featured on Season 2 of Taskmaster Australia, as the second task in The moment of divorce is recorded. The task was won by Lloyd Langford.

Summary[]

The contestants had to find Tom Cashman by texting him, with the fewest characters sent winning. They were only allowed to move while waiting for a reply to a text, and Tom could only text lies. Tom was hiding under the upturned boat near the dock.

Performance[]

Anne Edmonds: Anne walked off to look for Tom without texting him, then had a long phone call with him before lifting the boat. As she was never waiting for a text back when she moved, she was disqualified from the task.

Jenny Tian: Jenny briefly forgot the rules of the task and didn’t move while waiting for Tom’s first reply, then went to look for him in the house. When Tom texted “I’m showering” at one point, she inferred he was on the toilet. She found him after sending 41 characters, receiving 3 points.

Josh Thomas: Josh sent a few single-word texts before losing faith that Tom would reply with anything helpful. He then kept texting photos, which weren’t counted as characters, until he sent one of the dock and Tom replied “That’s not where I am.” He found Tom after sending 21 characters, receiving 4 points.

Lloyd Langford: Lloyd immediately texted “Where aren’t you?”, then lifted the boat before Tom could reply. He sent 17 characters, receiving 5 points.

Wil Anderson: Wil sent a series of increasingly flirty texts to Tom, and walked a record number of steps according to his own phone. He returned to the dock at one point, but failed to find Tom until Tom texted “I’m in something that’s the right way up.” He sent 140 characters, receiving 2 points.
