Fill the glass up to the line from the furthest distance was a task featured on Series 15 of Taskmaster, as the second task in A yardstick for failure. The task was won by Mae Martin.

Setup[]

Location Taskmaster House
Equipment pint glass
Timing 20 minutes
Measurement Furthest distance between contestant and pint glass whilst filling

Summary[]

The task was presented on a pint glass. The contestants had to fill the glass up to the line from the furthest distance. If more than one contestant used the hose, the hose users would be disqualified.

Performance[]

Frankie Boyle: Frankie initially tried dropping a bucket from the roof into the glass, before throwing the glass into a bath of water. Despite being 5.4 metres, Frankie received 0 points as his glass broke.

Ivo Graham: Ivo set up an elaborate system of pulling a cup of water into a glass with a string, but he didn't put enough water into the cup to the fill the glass and spent a long time setting up his system. Despite being 18.3 metres away, he failed to fill the glass to the line so received 0 points.

Jenny Eclair: Jenny initally set up a series of tubes and a metal pole to the glass before moving the glass to the end of the tubes. After filling the glass once, Jenny then set up a water balloon over the top of the glass and popped it with a dart so the water would go into the glass. She filled the glass from 3.8 metres away, receiving 4 points.

Kiell Smith-Bynoe: Kiell decided that nobody else would use the hose after doing impressions of the other contestants. Instead of making the hose as long as possible and putting the end in the glass before going to the tap, as pointed out by Alex in the studio to be the correct way to use the hose, Kiell just aimed the water from the hose at the glass located on the driveway. Despite being 8.5 meters away, he failed to fill the glass so received 0 points.

Mae Martin: Mae initially tried throwing a jug of water down the drive before setting up a series of tubes down to the glass. They filled the glass from 8.1 metres away, receiving 5 points.
