Create the best single picture of an animal doing something surprising was a team task featured on Series 17 of Taskmaster, as the third task in Grappling with my life. The task was won by Nick Mohammed and Steve Pemberton.
Setup[]
Location | Taskmaster House |
---|---|
Equipment | Blinds, fences, paint, brushes, blackboard |
Timing | 15 minutes |
Measurement | Best picture |
Summary[]
The task was presented on one side the fence for one of their teammates. The contestants had to draw six images between them depicting an animal in a surprising situation using only two words to communicate.
Who did what segments of the images was determined by six criteria which were also written on the blackboard hanging on top of the front door. For the team of three, each person had to draw two images, while for the team of two, three images were drawn each.
The criteria given, in order, were:
- Shortest Wikipedia entry.
- Best show at the Edinburgh Fringe winner.
- Smallest shoe size.
- The person whom Alex said hello to first.
- Most Twitter followers.
- Lowest scoring full name in Scrabble.
Performance[]
Joanne McNally, John Robins & Sophie Willan: Joanne drew segment number 1 and 4, John drew segment number 2 and 5, and finally Sophie drew segment number 3 and 6.
Joanne and John agreed to draw a dog driving a red car with John drew a bird smoking inside, but a confused Sophie ended up drawing a dancing cow and a vole. They each received 3 points each.
Nick Mohammed & Steve Pemberton: Nick drew the segments of odd number, and Steve drew the segments of even number.
Nick and Steve agreed to draw a giraffe laying down and giving birth. While their drawings worked when arranged in a specific way, one drew the blinds in landscape orientation, the other portrait, so it didn't appear correct in the studio. They each received 5 points each.
Trivia[]
- The onscreen visual showing the order the blinds would be laid out in showed Lee Mack and Mike Wozniak's orderly species they drew in the task "Draw the best picture of a British animal".
- While reading the task, the blinds all blink yellow when Steve Pemberton reads out that all six blinds must be used.
