Al Murray is an English comedian, best known for his "Pub Landlord" persona. He has performed stand-up, including at the London Palladium, and starred in Sky One sitcom Time Gentlemen Please, which he also wrote alongside Richard Herring. He also hosted the ITV chat show Al Murray's Happy Hour.
In 2016, Murray appeared in Series 3 of Taskmaster, finishing in third place with 80 points. He was the guest on episodes 34 and 53 of Taskmaster The Podcast.
In 2021, Murray appeared in two special tasks, alongside Series 12 contestant Desiree Burch, which were run as part of an ad campaign for Google's Pixel 6 phones.

Trivia[]
- Al is one of the few contestants to make a cameo in the show after they appeared. He appeared in the Series 4 episode Hollowing out a baguette., as part of Joe Lycett's attempt at the task "Camouflage yourself", being part of the group of people used to disguise Joe. Additionally, in the same episode, Al's attempt in the "Do something that will look impressive in reverse" task appeared in the introduction of the task "Make a trailer for Taskmaster: The Movie".
- During the earlier series after Series 3, Al would often visit the house during filming to say hello and have a cup of tea with the crew.
- Al is the first contestant to win all pre-recorded tasks within a single episode, doing so in A very nuanced character.
